Japanese company Logitec announced the LAN-WH600ACGR, an 802.11ac compliant WLAN router. Due to local government imposed restrictions for home/office communication equipment, the router can only serve at speeds of up to 600 Mbps. The router supports the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands, and uses three antennae to support MIMO. In order for upstream and downstream wired connections not to bottleneck the WLAN, the router features gigabit Ethernet on its lone upstream and three downstream ports. Its router component supports multi-session PPPoE, UPnP, and Dynamic DNS. Most standard security protocols are supported, including WPA-2 PSK AES, WPA PSK TKIP, 128-bit WEP. Measuring 190 x 210 x 45 mm, it weighs about 580 g, needs an external AC power adapter, and can by clung onto walls.
