Silverstone has a rich portfolio of PSU products, which became even richer with the addition of the Strider Plus 600 W unit: one of the shortest ATX PSUs available on the market. This one exploits a fully modular design, which greatly simplifies the installation process, something many users will appreciate.

Thanks for the review.

I cannot imagine myself using such a loud PSU. Those under-load noise figures are just too high for me.

Please note that the fan operates at high speeds only once the ambient reaches/exceeds 38C (as I say in the review). At lower ambient the noise output is at normal levels and this is shown in the corresponding graph in page #7.

Yes, I red the review ofc, and I understand, but I get higher temps inside cases at summer times (in rooms without AC), here in Central EU. It's not 2002 but 2013 after all, and I'm used to silent/passive designs with anything except the most high end configurations, and that's a lot of noise (to "have" only from the PSU) on the graph (imho).

All ends have active cooling, the things that have passive cooling is often on the higher scale. Its often cheaper to just slap a fan on something and call it a day.

It's putting out 47dB (alone!) above 100W, that's just bad.
