Cooler Master launched the second generation GX series PSUs for value-conscious gaming PC builders. The lineup was first shown to the world at this year's Computex event, held in Taipei. Available in 450W, 550W, and 650W variants, these PSUs feature 80 Plus Bronze certification, single +12V rail design, all standard protection mechanisms, and a unique "always-on" USB header that puts out power even with the system shut down into ErP-compliant deep S5 sleep.
GX II 450W is fit for single-GPU gaming PC builds. In addition to standard 24-pin ATX and 4+4-pin EPS, it offers just one 6-pin PCIe power connector, four SATA power, two Molex, and one Berg. The GX II 550W offers two 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors, six SATA power, three Molex, and one Berg. The GX II 650W features an identical power connector loadout to the 550W variant. All three feature sleeved, and fixed cables. Measuring 150 mm x 140 mm x 86 mm (WxDxH), the three feature 120 mm fans that prioritize low-noise. The three should be priced in the $79 to $109 range.
