SilverStone announced the Strider Essential Gold line of PSUs that are 80 Plus Gold certified, offering a great bang for buck to mid-range gaming PC builders. Available in 500W, 600W, and 700W variants, the units feature fixed cabling, single +12V rail innards, active PFC, 90V~264V AC input range, modern PSU protection mechanisms (OVP, OCP, OLP, and SCP), and a unique new 140 mm fan that incorporates hybrid ceramic bearings, with normal noise output as low as 18 dBA.
