SilentiumPC is a fresh Polish company that was established in 2007. Today, we will take a look at their first Platinum PSU, the Supremo M1-700 with high efficiency, semi-passive operation for lower noise output, and a semi-modular cabling design.

Good review of a brand I never heard of.

One point to mention, the review states three years but the box image shows "5y door to door" warranty?

While I appreciate your reviews crmaris, I find it problematic that you're reviewing a product that isn't a retail sample, as it isn't necessarily an indicator of what someone who buys this PSU in a store will get. For example SilentiumPC could swap out the Panasonic bulk cap for something lower quality, or they could significantly improve the 5VSB rail.

Perhaps you could add a bolded section of text to the review summary page, to highlight that this review was performed on a pre-production unit and may not be indicative of real-world performance?

Actually I think that the final model will perform even better. Also I already asked for a normal retail sample to perform some tests again and verify my results. But as they informed me the retail samples can take a while till they will be available.

quoting SilentiumPC's reply "the Supremo M1 comes with 3y warranty with an option of extending to 5y after registering the unit (only available for end-users)"

Oh hey a new player. The prices have better be competitive because the market is brutal. Seriously, so many decent PSU's to choose from in every concievable price range. I really hate shopping for PSU's.

SilentiumPC is a good brand. Their entry level PSUs are very good, and popular here in Poland, as are their CPU coolers.
