Hi to all!

I would like to know which of these two hard disks performs faster,is better for gaming and has a greater life-span:

a

1TB SSHD (8GB Cache) 5400 rpm

or a

1 TB 7200 rpm HDD

both of them for laptops!

Thanks in advance.

SSHD would do better overall imho due to the SSD cache.

Thanks for the replies!

I am asking for two different laptops which are shifted with those drives.

I use an 840 Pro 256 and a Velociraptor 1TB.

I had a 750GB Momentus SSHD, it wouldn't stop parking the head, there was no software from seagate to turn power saving functions off, so i swapped it with velociraptor.

They no longer do that. They utilize Windows Power Saving settings. Mine park after 5m of inactivity. After 10m they stop spinning.
