Hi,

I have a Phanteks Mini ITX, see the photo attached.

What is the best configuration to have the best airflow possible?.

  • 200mm (Phanteks fan (PH-F200SP), came with the case)

    Fan Size 200 x 200 x 30mm
    Noise (dBA) 25 dBA
    Airflow (CFM) 110.1 CFM
    Static Pressure (mm/H2O) 1.04 mm/H2O
    850 rpm
  • 2x 140mm (Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition)

    Fan Size 140mm x 25mm
    Noise (dBA) 24 dBA
    Airflow (CFM) 67.8 CFM
    Static Pressure (mm/H2O) 0.84 mm/H2O
    1150 rpm
  • 2x 120mm PWM (Corsair SP120 PWM)

    Fan Size 120mm x 25mm
    Noise (dBA) 35 dBA
    Airflow (CFM) 62.74 CFM
    Static Pressure (mm/H2O) 3.1 mm/H20
    2350 RPM
Note: I have one AF140mm at the rear.

So, what do you think, which will be the best option?.

It would be interesting to note the operating temperature as is, AND with the 140 removed and that space blocked off for positive pressure through the radiator.

i think you are being over critical.. you would have to try very hard to make something like that not work.. plenty of cool air moves though the case front to back and cpu cooling fans would work ether way pushing out or pulling in..

from a cooling point of view its all kind of overkill.. it gonna work end of story.. he he

with only that single 200MM
you are already exchanging the total volume of that case at 30 times a minute if not more (assuming you can get the air out as fast as it can go in)
CFM is cubic feet per minute that case might have a total volume of 3 Cubic feet
this isn't overkill this is ultrakilll, killtacular even ....
assuming he 67 and 62's ands the signal 140 are exhaust
and 67 x 2 is 134CFM
and 62 x is 124

124 + 134 + 62 =320 / 3 = air volume of that case changes 106 times a minute maximum
factor in grill restrictions and less than perfect airflow thats likely closer to 70 or 80 times a minute

ill add 2x120mm and let the rear 140mm, take in consideration when you add the front panel grill on the case airflow is gonna be lowered because of the grill and filters... also the bays and divisions on the case will split the airflow... the rear one could take out all heat without problems, also room or ambient temperature may be another interesting fact in the conclusion ...

i have on my case 3x120mm fans.. Tt pure led... connected to molex directly and my AIO on rear exahust... also 2x120mm gelid slim fans ... temps inside are great and i did noticed a great difference when added the 3rd one on front... one fan is pushing direct-airflow to motherboard.. other 2 fans dont push air directly because of drive cages, my case only have middle modular cage.

i recon you are a cooling obsessive peche.. :)

the only down side to this blowing more air through a case than you have to just for the sake of it is more dust and crud ends up in there plus maybe more noise.. i say maybe cos someone is bound to pop up and say they have a million fans and they are pretty quiet.. he he

thanks my friend... i like to have my rig chilled,
the bottom intake fan is great for video cards... single setups and also for reference ones... the blower cooler likes that much the boost a bottom cooler could bring...

I guess that's me, 14 fans with the capacity of adding 3 more haha

hes already got nearly triple the airflow he needs
any more and its likely to achieve take-off thrust and fly away
