I-O Data Japan unveiled the HDPC-UT2.0 and HDPF-UT2.0 lines of compact, single-cable portable hard-drives, which offer 2 TB of storage. Available in three colors, "Bordeaux" (HDPC-UT2.0BRC), black (HDPC-UT2.0KC), and silver (HDPC-UT2.0SC), the HDPC-UT2.0 features two-tone exteriors, USB 3.0 interface, with a single cable handling power and host connectivity. The drive is pre-formatted MBR with NTFS, while a software is included that allows Macs to access data on it. The HDPF-UT2.0, on the other hand, is available in black (HDPF-UT2.0KB) and white (HDPF-UT2.0WB); runs a faster hard drive inside, and the similar single-cable USB 3.0 interface. Measuring 76 mm x 113 mm x 14 mm (WxDxH), the drives weigh about 180 g. They're slated for a late-May launch.
