Rapoo, one of the world's leading manufacturers of peripherals in the wireless segment and the first manufacturer of products featuring 5 GHz wireless technology, holds an impressive 42% market share in China. Today, it proudly presents the V700 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard under its VPRO Gaming label. Three weeks ago Rapoo presented the new V900, which will also get its first public unveiling in Europe in pre-production form at this year's gamescom. Those who want to check out the new gaming hardware for themselves will get the chance at today's gamescom Press Day in Hall 10.1/A60 at VPRO Gaming and AMD's joint press conference.
A mechanical masterpiece
The V700 has ultra-durable switches which offer an incredible life span of up to 60 million operations. The 2 mm key travel distance with 50 g operating force guarantee a rapid response even in the heat of battle. But this isn't the only area where VPRO Gaming Labs' focus is on quality: The materials as well as the finish meet the highest standards. What's more, almost every single key can be programmed, including with self-recorded and precisely timed macros. In combination with the 5 profiles, which can be stored conveniently in the onboard memory, the V700 is the ideal command center for any gaming setup.
Freely programmable keys and maximum computing power
106 of the 108 keys on the V700 are individually programmable, including with self-recorded and precisely timed macros. These can be recorded and edited in a flash using the supplied Macro Manager included in the driver. This keyboard becomes a truly customized tool that obeys every key press and actions every command at breakneck speed. The computing power required for rapid input processing is provided by the V-Power3 Gaming Chip which packs a 60 MHz 32-bit ARM Core processor.
Anti-ghosting and online live-update
The V700's anti-ghosting function allows multiple keys to be pressed simultaneously regardless of how many keys are pressed at the same moment. The driver's online live-update feature informs the user automatically about new firmware and driver updates.
Dimensions & transport clip
The mechanical keys are housed in a tough shell which offers the keyboard maximum sturdiness and stability. Fold-out keyboard legs, equipped with a rubberized coating, grip any surface ensuring the keyboard remains rooted to the spot. The V700 measures in at 473 × 227 × 35 mm and weighs 1365 g. The braided USB cable is 1.8 m long and doesn't get tangled up while the keyboard is being carried around thanks to the additional transport clip. This killer package is rounded off by a 1000 Hz USB polling rate plus gold-plated USB connector.
Availability and pricing
The V700 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is scheduled for release at the end of October 2014 in Germany and several other European countries for an MSRP of €89.99.
