VisionTek Products LLC, a leading manufacturer of award-winning, high-performance upgrades and accessories for PCs and Macs, today announced its new line of high power USB charging hubs that enable charging up to seven Apple iPad, iPhone, Android and Windows tablets, and other USB chargeable mobile devices as fast as the factory power adapter.

The use of multiple mobile devices such as smartphones, tablet computers, and eReaders by families and small business, health care, and restaurant operations is a common daily occurrence. Unfortunately, power adapters for devices can get lost and wall outlets can only charge two devices simultaneously. Typical charging hubs don't offer enough ports and/or enough power per port so extra time is spent waiting for a full charge or worse, only getting a partial charge.

VisionTek solves the charging wait dilemma with three unique, high-power charging solutions:
  • VisionTek High Power USB Four Port Charging Hub $19.99
Featuring a built-in power adapter, the Four Port Charging Hub eliminates the "wall wart" common with electronic devices. Just plug the power cord into a wall outlet to utilize the three 1 amp ports for charging small mobile devices like iPods and iPhones, and one 2.1 amp port for charging iPads, tablet computers and smartphones that require higher amperage power charging. The Four Port Charging Hub can also be used to power USB interface equipped devices like wireless printers, mice, speakers, and WiFi adapters.
  • VisionTek High Power USB Seven Port Charging Hub $49.99
Ideal for "road warriors" and traveling families for when power outlets are limited, the Seven Port Charging Hub offers four 1 amp ports for charging media players and smartphones and three 2.4 amp ports for computers and smartphones that require higher amperage power charging. No computer connection is required and the lightweight, anodized aluminum housing design provides rugged portability while also complementing any desktop workspace.
  • VisionTek Charge & Sync USB 3.0 Seven Port Hub $54.99
The multi-purpose powered hub that offers a Plug and Play solution for charging and syncing needs. It adds four USB 3.0 ports with 5Gb/s (600MB/s) SuperSpeed data transfer connectivity and 900mA bus power to Macs and PCs with limited USB ports. Use it to charge/power and/or transfer data with digital cameras, external hard drives, flash drives, and printers. For fast connection status verification, amber colored LED's indicate when each USB 3.0 port is in use. In addition to being a USB 3.0 powered hub, the VisionTek Charge & Sync Hub also offers two 1 amp ports for charging small mobile devices and one 2 amp port for charging tablet computers.
"While the VisionTek name has been synonymous with excellence in graphics cards for over two decades, we're expanding our product development efforts to other areas," said Mark Bilson, Executive Vice President of VisionTek. "When we see a need for a high-performance solution to solve a need or problem, we're going to leverage our experience and knowledge to deliver unique products such as this new charging hub line."

same speed as device chargers?

I don't know any manufacturers that still use 1 amp chargers apart from those cheapo car chargers.

All the ports should be 2A at least...

My Plantronics Bluetooth set uses 0.7amp on the official charger in the package. Not all, devices fly high. 2A, there were Galaxy S4's burnt at that power :D, I think? My point is, there is a large variety of devices you can charge, you have to have an option for lower than 2A.
