We had the chance to evaluate many Seasonic products within the last couple months. Today, we will take a look at their 1050 W Gold-certified X series unit. Like its big brother, the X-1250 XM2 we tested recently, we expect it to perform incredibly well.

Seems like another excellent PSU from Seasonic!!
I only dislike the aesthetics of this PSU: It's golden coloured fan grill (*just like Thermaltake's DPS series) is out of my tastes.
I think that XFX should advise the other PSU companies on the aesthetic area !! :p

Could it be possible SS decided to use that fan since this would mostly be used in a pretty loaded/maxed machine...ie 3-4 GPU's ect...... more like high current/amp drawing 295X/X2's ect....?

It is very strange they have such a limited fan and profile

BTW @crmaris , how can/would the Load Regulation and Efficiency Measurements {usually page 5} translate to using 110-120 voltage and are any of the other test crossload , ripple ect done with 110-120 voltage ?

Just always wondered if that testing was to snap them with the highest voltage incoming :)
:toast:
EDIT duh.............:slap:
oh shit I just noticed you're in Greece ! I guess you only have 220+ voltage ??

actually I use a Chroma AC source so I can test at 115VAC too, but this would mean double time for all the tests I conduct and the day has only 24h :)

The source of the loud noise is the honeycomb grill, if you replace it with a normal boring wireframe grill it becomes near silent.
I know that the thread is very old but I still wanted to contribute to something :)
