EK Announces Gigabyte GTX 970 Gaming G1 Water Block

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is proud to introduce a new Full-Cover water block, designed and engineered specificaly for GIGABYTE Gaming G1 series NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 graphics cards - the EK-FC970 GTX WF3.

EK-FC970 GTX WF3 - with WF3 standing as WindForce 3X abbrevation - is a high-performance Full-Cover water block, designed for GIGABYTE non-reference design GeForce GTX 970 graphics cards. The cooler actively cools the GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks.



EK-FC970 GTX WF3 water block features EK unique central inlet split-flow cooling engine design for best possible cooling performance, which also works flawlessly with reversed water flow without adversely affecting the cooling performance. Moreover, such design offers great hydraulic perfromance allowing this product to be used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps.

Base is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality POM Acetal or acrylic (depending on the variant). Screw-in brass standoffs are pre-installed and allow for safe installation procedure.

In order to simplify the search for suitable and compatible water block EK is adding newly released graphics cards and motherboard from various manufacturers to EK Cooling Configurator database and compatible graphics cards are being added to the list on daily basis:

So I recently upgraded my rig majorly. Have acct already setup on Overclock.net, same username, and did my liquid cooling build for my old setup. Anyways I upgraded to Intel i7 4790k /w an ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1. So now having that liquid cooled and everything else up to par, I am looking up at my last upgrade, a sufficient GPU. The EVGA GeForce GTX 970 caught me eye, since I got into EVGA haven't wanted to switch at all. But the water blocks I am seeing for the 970 are not to my liking very much They seem small and inadequate. Any thoughts on a great clear looking water block for the EVGA GTX 970?? Thanks for any help, tips, comments guys
