DeepCool made a new upper-mainstream addition to its power-supply lineup, the Quanta DQ850. This 850-Watt power supply boasts of 80 Plus Gold efficiency rating (88% to 92% switching efficiency depending on the load), and offers semi-modular cabling. Its 24-pin ATX, 4+4 pin EPS, and two 6+2 pin PCIe cables are fixed; while two additional 6+2 pin PCIe, ten SATA power, and six Molex connectors are modular (detachable).
Under the hood, the DQ850 features a single +12V rail design, with a single 70A +12V rail; a double-layer EMI filter, active PFC, i-Eco (complete output cutoff when load is less than 1W), CircuitShield (modern electrical protections such as OVP, OCP, UVP, SCP); and a 140 mm PWM fan, which stays off until a load/temperature threshold is reached. The OEM appears to be CWT. The unit is backed by a 5-year warranty. DeepCool didn't announce pricing or availability details.
