Today, we will evaluate LEPA's flagship PSU with a capacity of 1.7 kW and efficiency levels that its official specs say to surpass 80 PLUS Platinum requirements. This unit is only compatible with 230 VAC mains, so you won't find it in the United States.

That said, at its current price, the deal looks good if you take its low hold-up time and its increased ripple at 5VSB with light loads out of the equation.

Well, if we consider that the customer needs to spend an extra 300-400$ to buy a UPS with capacity equal of 1700watts, then we can conclude that the value of this unit is not good at all !!:D

Does this unit truly not run on 120v AC?

I ask because 20amp US home circuits are getting more and more common, and would support a PSU of this load with enough juice easily. 15amps would be borderline if not dangerous I know, but that's not what everyone here has anymore.

That said, coming from a bitcoin mining perspective, the cables in 220-240V are so much easier to work with because they don't have to be soooo bulky. ;)

I'd never buy a PSU which fan spins at 1290rpm minimum.
