A company called Duck Image has released plans to produce a USB drive that brings new levels of security to the market. Most USB drives can now be secured fairly easily by software, but Duck Image has taken this a step further introducing their 007 USB flash drive that can be physically locked to whatever you chose.

The drive features three-way security with a combination lock to prevent people removing the cap, password protected storage once the cap has been removed and even a bike-lock style cable that can be locked to a table or almost anything else to prevent anyone from stealing it from your computer.

Although most people will consider this a little too far and not particularly practical it might be useful in crowded workplaces or schools if you don't move the drive around too much but don't want someone taking it from you when you aren't looking. Whether this actually goes into production or not remains to be seen but it is quite an innovative idea.

Cool is it wrapped in papayrus, and complete with a fragile vinegar filled tube?

Actually, they really should come out with a "Cryptex" version - if someone tries to break into it, the data gets destroyed.
