Great update! With that speed, and enough space on it, I think it will satisfy users more than they expect it.

It has Read of 60MB/s and Write of 20MB/s, that is RIDICULOUSLY slow for a consumer laptop.

You'd be better off with an old 5200rpm sata HDD than this sd card...

Or are you joking? Lol.

As you point out... this is a Micro-SD card... a 128GB Micro-SD card that is meant as a secondary storage unit, that has access time 20-50x faster than an HDD. The sequential Read is more than okay, the write is slow but usually more of a one time thing versus where reading is something you do constantly. Even in terms of IOPS, a good SD card is similar to most HDDs, and even destroys them in certain types of loads

Being a Micro-SD, it can be shared among you phone, tablet etc as well as your camera. Pop it out and put it in your phone or camera, take a few pics and have them save on the SD Card. Pop it back in your computer for instant access, to do whatever you want.

This isn't ground breaking, but can be useful to people who need to expand their storage, especially thos who don't want to open their shiny aluminum macbook

Pay attention guys, it says 20MB/s- READ and 60MB/s - WRITE speeds.
However original site has this info vice versa as well...LOL

Check the product page.... " card is capable of providing write speeds up to 60MB/s and read speeds of up to 20MB/s."
and later in specs... "Data transfer rate Up to 60MB/s read speed **
"

this is nothing great, Samsung/Lexar/Sandisk already has high capacity micro-SD cards on the market long time ago that does well over 90/80MB/s R/W respectively. no point buying this.
