Like the folding idea, but theres no way to use a sound card that you buy. CM Sirus was great for this because it came with both the USB sound card solution, and connectors to plug into whatever sound card or onboard sound you had.

Also no idea of quality of the build or if those ear pads can be interchanged. CM Sirus got the ear pads right but the build quality is terrible. I've got mine a mess of duct tape atm because going on a few years it just started cracking and falling apart. Think the solder has micro cracks too because the audio is flaky on one side.

Kinda sad when you buy an expensive set and it doesn't last any longer than the cheap sets.

Try Steelseries Siberia headsets. I have just got myself the V3 due to recommendations from fellow gamers. I have a weird head and lots of piercings in my ears, making me quite picky about headsets, but it really works for me...can't make any statements about the long-term durability, but it feels really solid!
