We have the chance to evaluate a top-notch (and expensive) gaming chair from noblechairs. This real leather EPIC series chair has a terrific look and is comfortable enough to make you forget its high price tag.

  • Expensive (but I believe that it is worth its high price) => Expensive, yes; Worth it ... no, it's not. it's way too damn expensive still.
  • The maximum weight it supports might be low for some users => and that is for ... just user alone; Now when someone sits on your lap?
  • The arm rests should be covered with leather as well => here I completely disagree. I have had leather armrests and exactly such as this chair has... and this is better. Leather dies sadly in normal wear and tear in a year or 2. You will not be sitting in the chair with sleeved shirts all the time... at summer your arms will sweat also... leather does not survive this.
  • The sitting area should be wider for "larger" users => that is SO true... and not just. the sitting area MUST be wider for any male user with balls. You don't want to squeeze your tights together really to sit comfortably. Well I don't. And I am not exactly "larger" user.

The warranty should be longer since leather keeps its good shape for a while under even tough conditions.

Add some summer heat and sweat ... and it does not. Good if it lasts 1 summer. (Especially if you don't use it in the office, but in your home... where you don't even always wear underpants... ... just saying.)

I'm using a ikea chair, it was around 280euro and it was totally worth it. I can sit for hours with no back pain.

The maximum weight it supports might be low for some users -> I mean that some users weight more than 120 Kg, not that more than one should/could sit on the chair :D

The armrests look cheap with the current material. If not leather I would like to see something better on them. My Ergohuman had PU leather which lasted for many many years.

Expensive, yes it is because leather is expensive as well.

"he sitting area MUST be wider for any male user with balls." I had the laugh of my life with this (in a good way). For normal dimensions users the sitting area is large enough. However I only weight 76 Kilos and my wife that actually wrote the review is much less (I cannot say because she will probably kill me).

Sexy chair, and for the use it will get and considering what something like a videocard costs these days I would say the price is fine.

"Timeless design" ??? It is rather a very barroque pseudo Formula 1 chair that in my eyes gets boring quickly.... And the very long back side is quite useless outside of a car.
I am tall and use now a short back seat and that has had no effect on my comfort (unless you want to nap haha)

While I was looking for my chair, I came across some debate whether an ultra soft working/gaming chair is better than a plain wooden, no cushion chair. Reasoning was something about gravity. In soft chairs human body tend to just loosen up a lot and when the chair is hard wood, your spine is trying to counter the gravity and this actually forces the muscles to do what they are designed to do. So, I am not sure, ultra expensive is better here.

oh... a fight about fat golden sample etalon arse :D

If one weighs over 120kg get a doctor or order a larger casket already and most importantly don't complain if doesn't fit you...

I am seriously looking for a chair too. They all either look like crap or fall apart. I looking for non leather ones, to avoid sweating. The arms doesn't look good, the angle is from plastic... they will crack for sure.

Do you use a four or five point harness on it ? Might have to strap yourself in for safety reasons! Its a good thing they add those ridiculous harness holes!

I've been using the same Ikea suede office chair since 2004, but probably should update soon the cushion padding is getting thin and lumpy in some areas.

Biggest concern is always durability for me. I have gone through multiple chairs. My current chair supports up to 375lbs and I find it to be pretty awesome.

We all have different requirements but yes leather, to me this fails on being leather in the 1st place like OMG your ass will stick to that and EWW.

Then not trying to insult anyone here but Max weight is 120KG, our daughter is 12yo and she's pretty tall a weights that much now. She has got not a ounce of fat on her so who is this actually for?.

Some one sitting on your lap ?, really ?. the chair is clearly for one user and both should apply common sense.

Yeah ours have cracked too, although they fixable with some cloth and some filling like ergo beads :), just not got around to it yet lol.

[...], our daughter is 12yo and she's pretty tall a weights that much now. [...]
Are you sure you're thinking KG here, not lbs? 120KG for a 12yo is pretty hefty, even if above 2 meters tall!

I personally don't like leather chairs - they don't last as long nor are as comfy as fabric ones.

@crmaris - drop the personal comments about weight in reviews please. People can be above 120KG easy, specially if tall and / or very sporty (lifting weights, etc.) Also those comments have no place in a chair review.

On another note, the seat has only 35cm before it's getting wider to 56cm? The flat version of seat that is below 54cm I already find uncomfy small when sitting for a longer time as I am also male and like to cross at least 1 of my legs below the other if unable to sit completely cross-legged. I currently have a chair I also paid €300+ for, but out of a real office chair shop with 58cm seating area where the seat is flat and for me that is just about wide enough for comfort, but then again I had to go to a "larger" chair with better weight carrying capacity (I have a wife who like to keep me company as well and sometimes even sits on my lap ) and thus 120KG max I find rather miserable.

As for the €550 price-tag, way overpriced for what I see.

I fail to understand what comment insulted you or any other user. If I DID insult anyone I don't have a problem to apologise since this wasn't my intention, however I think that you are overreacting and in the end you insult me, the reviewer, with your comment. I didn't like at all the "drop the..." at the start of your sentence although you included the "please" word in the end.

  • Timeless design - heheh its just another car seat DX Racer style gaming chair clone at an absurd price.
  • Maximum weight 120kg - If this chair can hold dudes the size of Antonio Silva, Mark hunt and Brock Lesnar, i think the Maximum weight issue is user not product

Nothing wrong with stating a fact, and i'm sure those that don't fit the chair know they have a problem.
