Alongside their recently announced Toughpower Grand RGB Gold series of power supply units, Thermaltake will also introduce a more cost-effective line of RGB PSUs. Dubbed the Smart Pro RGB Bronze, it will feature three members with capacities of 650 W, 750 W, and 850 W. Like the Toughpower Grand, the Smart Pro RGB are equipped with a patented 256 color Ring 140mm RGB fan, featuring five lighting modes (256 Color RGB Cycle, Solid Red, Green, Blue, White, and an LED Off mode), controlled by pressing an RGB Lighting button. There is also a built-in memory function, so you don't have to re-configure the desired fan lighting effect every time you power off the PSU. The Smart Pro RGB Bronze Series comes with 7-year warranty coverage.
They also feature active PFC, are fully modular in nature, have an operating temperature ranging from 0°C to 40°C, include the usual protections (Over Voltage Protection, Under Voltage Protection, Over Power Protection, Over Temperature Protection, Over Current Protection and Short Circuit Protection), an MTBF at 100,000 hrs minimum, are cooled by a 140 mm HDB Fan (RGB Lighting), and feature a selectable Semi-Passive Mode.
Regarding dimensions, the Smart Pro Bronze come in at 150 mm (W) x 86 mm (H) x 170 mm (D), and the 750W and 850W members have 6x PCIe connectors, with the smallest member of the line equipped with 4x of those connectors. None of the PSUs on this series carries more than one EPS connector, however.
When it comes to pricing, the 650 W will set you back $79.99, the 750 W costs $89.99, and the 850 W version will be available for $99.99.
