If the 'PixArt 3360' Is currently the 'best sensor' then what of the PMW3366 in the Logitech G900??

Meh, imo these days nothing beats a Zowie ec or fk series, steelseries rival 300, finalmouse 2016, Nexeus Revel, or logitechs g403 prodigy. At least for fps games and competitive fps. The day Benq upgrades its Zowie mice with a 3360 sensor, i may have to get one.

I have a RAT 5 from this company, after a few weeks the sensor started failing, so no more Mad Catz stuff for me.

I have had 2 high end Logitechs and those failed very soon (buttons gone erratic) and felt cheap.
I am on my second RAT now. First one (RAT7) lasted for many years and is heavy duty. Now I have the RAT PRO X and it is sublime (so light weight and adaptable, I should add it to sexy hardware thread :).
Only objection to articule would be that the RAT 8 is not the flagship ;-)
They have a new one coming for "Pro gamers" superior to this one, they might call it the RAT PRO X PRO BRO :).

Too expensive, too heavy, and too slow.

Oh well

If the 'PixArt 3360' Is currently the 'best sensor' then what of the PMW3366 in the Logitech G900??

It was said already, but it's basically the same sensor. Logitech co-developed the sensor as the 3366 together with PixArt and they had the exclusive rights to it for 2 years I think. After that time other OEMs were able to use the sensor under the 3360 name. I'm not sure if the 3366 has some different firmware or other specialties that the 3360 lacks, but in terms of performance they are the same.
There are other variants of the same sensor with different names, but they all go along the 336x naming scheme. I think Roccat's version is 3361, Corsair has 3367 etc. I suspect it's all just marketing.

Your limp wrists will get used to the weight of the mouse over time. :)

I had a R.A.T.7 since shortly after it's launch, and just yesterday received my replacement RAT8 from Amazon.

My only real complaints about the new mouse over the old is MadCatz cheaping out on the extras with the mouse; with the R.A.T.7 you received an aluminum case that could hold all the extra parts you didn't use with your mouse, and the mouse came with a total of 5 weights that you could add or remove from the mouse.

Software is much better on the RAT8 vs. R.A.T.7, though the lighting is quite confusing. You can only select three colors to have it rotate through when in "rainbow" mode. And on that page it looks like those three colors respond to specific areas of the mouse in that case, which it does not.

That's odd. When I bought my R.A.T.7 from Newegg back in 2012 it only came with the cheap plastic case. Wonder what year they started cheaping out.

They don't cheap out, I have the metal box and extra weights, but never used them, I like it light..
Buy a RAT Pro X. Real carbon fiber tumb rest and 3 sensor of choice. RAT 8 is just a downdumned RAT 7 that had more adjustments, but with better sensor and software. (I don't use their software after a first set up of sensifity curves)..
I also have a RAT 1 and I love it for office work, it is super ultra lightweight. But not high precission for games.

Yeah, don't know. I do remember now something being said about that.

I can take pics of the case and contents when I get home and post them here.
