Taking a blanketing approach to the GT 1030 market, MSI has announced a further five SKUs based on NVIDIA's GT 1030 silicon, which will join the company's already announced full height, passive-cooled GT 1030 2GH OC offering. MSI is catering to one and every need their users could possibly have with this line-up: from a half-height, passive-cooled solution, passing through a full-height, still passively-cooled solution, and a full-height, actively-cooled one. The only thing missing seems to be a water-cooled version.
MSI's line of GT 1030 graphics cards are available now from various retailers at around the $75 price-bracket.
All of them feature the same 1265 MHz base core clocks (158 MHz Boost), and 6008 MHz memory. All of the cards come with 1x HDMI 2.0b, 1x DVI-D display connectors, which makes sense, considering the market for these. The GT 1030 AERO ITX 2G OC is the full-height, actively cooled card, which features a shroud that lets it pass for a more powerful card than it really is. The MSI GT 1030 2GH LP OCV1 and GT 1030 2GH LP OC are essentially half-height versions of the GT 1030 2GH OC. Both the MSI GT 1030 2GH LP OCV1 and GT 1030 2GH LP OC are available in versions with an active, air-cooling solution as well. It's puzzling how there is no differentiation between the passive and actively-cooled solutions, and we wager it'll be even more puzzling for regular consumers. All these MSI graphics cards feature military class MIL-STD-810G-certified components that the company claims enables higher stability and reliability, and 10 years-long lifetime under full load.
