MSI's high-end gaming motherboard for Kaby Lake CPUs is here. The Z270 GAMING M7 has all the bells and whistles, including something you never really thought of: dual audio chips. With a crazy automatic overclock profile that promises 5.2 GHz, we check out MSI's new enthusiast motherboard.

Voltage measuring points are PCB pads covered with soldering iron(oxidation and slippery). Not with trough hole or at least blind vias... it is a serious minus for being a retard design wise from me.

Also the DIMM A2 being A1 really...?

Man... it is really that laser shiny?

Now that Coffee Lake is only half a year away buying anything based on the 200th series chipset is just stupid (the whole chipset is stupid anyways considering its only "advantage" over the 100th series is the support for Intel Optane Memory). According to rumors Coffee Lake will be based on socket 1151 but previous gen motherboards will not be compatible with Coffee Lake CPUs.

I was wondering that also, it seems very strange

This is my current board. It is one of the best - most trouble free boards I've ever had.

An excellent, high quality product, and a great review. Thanks.

Just FYI, this is not a new board, relatively speaking, I just checked my invoice and I got mine Feb 11, 2017.

And @birdie, It wasn't a stupid decision at all. Anything but. I've got a great board with a i7-7700k and I'm quite happy with it. I have no desire to move to Coffee Lake. I also remember Intel initially saying the same thing about Kaby Lake procs not working on Z170 boards (which it does), so I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Coffee Lake ends up working on Z270 with a BIOS update.

Im waiting for someone who will make no-fluff, pro oriented mobo, preferably with included full cover WB.

Meaning, no LEDs except when needed, best quality parts possible, nothing extra thats not really needed (no gimmicky "its almost like soundcard" when it never is). Simple and clean BIOS.

Yea and red and black color scheme which is what I like. Also should have as clean layout as Bloodrage had.

Im pretty sure I will wait forever. :D

"I don't see anyone using less than two 1060s with SLI with this board"

I don't think anyone does that with any hardware on GTX1060s. ;)

If I remember correctly - there is no option for SLI on a 1060. Nvidia nerfed that.
