The cuplex kryos NEXT from Aqua Computer is an extremely customizable water block with features including an integrated display with a 32-bit ARM MCU, the ability to fit the block to your particular CPU, an industry-first physical vapor deposited titanium coating, and excellent performance overall to choose from. With over 90 different configurations ranging from $60 to $260, there is something to suit everyone.

Is there no AM4 equivalent in the works?

The temp display is a really nice addon. Useful stuff for a change in this market of plasticky rgb nonsense. Too bad the block is rather expensive.

Blocks with VISION (LCD) start at 94.90 EUR. I think that is not too far away from other "normal" blocks of popular brands ;)

I am not quite clear on whether this block with vision already have flow sensor integrated or not ?

No, just a temperature sensor. You can add a compatible flow sensor to Aquasuite and have it displayed on the VISION display here.

I dunno about you guys, but I'm not even considering blocks that only have 32-bit microprocessors..... waiting for the 64-bit dual cores....

I assume you also want a 14 nm minimum lithography process? :D

If they can bring down the TDP another few mW..... maybe.

It's actually pretty cool that there's temps on the block though. Would be good for a wall-mounted system...

They have it on their GPU block terminals and as standalone displays also, so you can go ham with it on a wall mount.

I like him. But to be honest I would be satisfied with Supremacy EVO worth 70-80$.
But really look attractive and some expensive configuration will look very cool with him.

If I ever jump back into watercooling, I'm getting one. I currently have a salvaged thermistor (attached to my waterblock) and Koolance control panel on the front of my HAF case, it not only reads the waterblock temp, but will alarm and then shut the system down when the block reaches 95f.

I couldn't tell from seeing the software, but what does the pigtail on the block actually connect to? Can the software shut your system down in case of overheating (like from a pump failure, or leak)?

I once forgot to plug my pump back in and the thermal alarm / shutoff on my system saved my ass!

The cable terminates in a male internal USB 2.0 header connector, so you need to have one of those available (or get an expansion hub as mentioned in the article). There is an accessory from Aqua Computer that adapts to the 24-pin ATX cable which will allow the software to shut down the system, although I have not tested it myself so can't really speak any more about it.

That said, most modern motherboards have a thermal shutdown sensor built in via the CPU socket thermistor.

That makes sense, and is a little more graceful. The design of the Koolance one is a power jumper header shunt (hard off) from the Koolance control panel. It did save my ass as well as some components, in one instance

I have not run across that, but I'll take your word for it.
