The iKBC F108 RGB is a full size keyboard with 16.8M RGB backlighting from a group of enthusiasts in Taiwan who had good build quality and value for money in mind. The keyboard features thick backlit doubleshot PBT keycaps, two colors, and four genuine Cherry MX switches to choose from, as well as driver-less controls with on-board storage.

Imho this could be the basic, no frills, mechanical keyboard. But for what it offers, it needs to be priced at $50 or so.
I mean, for the asking price you can get the fastest quad-core Ryzen (1300X) these days.

A good set of double-shot translucent PBT keycaps cost $30 plus, so your $50 is too low :)

There are keyboards without any backlighting and worse build quality that go higher than $50, so it's just the state of things today.

I know keycaps are ridiculously expensive. But for what they do, that's what I feel is the right price.
I mean, at $50 we're still talking 3-5x the cost of a decent membrane keyboard while not getting 3-5x the productivity in return.
