i thought 1080ti had "only" 11 GB ram, as a chip was cut down. This is normal with nvidia, they done it many time to differentiate such Cards from higher Tier ones. But never did we had the oportunity to get a non gimped Version of the Card.

it Looks like here the full Chips are soldered on the board like on Titan Pascal. The only things that are missing are the cores, and it would have been a full chip.

Titan Pascal has a 384bit-bus, this GTX 1080 Ti has a 352bit-bus.

It does. The 12 GHz refers to the memory speed, not the capacity.

I dont think that I ever seen an 1080Ti tha cant reach 6000 on the memory.. but.. well, there are so many 1080Tis on the market that is going to be cheap to buy then in a couple of years.

Saw this being advertised at a suggested retail price of $849.99. While not the most expensive variant I still see it as a big waste of extra money when a GTX 1080ti can be had for as little as $709.99 (Not saying that's cheap but its much lower than this card). These cards hit the same overclocks (Give or take a small margin)so buying these super expensive editions are mostly pointless. I think the only aspect that might be interesting is the memory clocks being that high, I wonder if that is enough to warrant the price?

The first Titan was a funny one, since GTX 780 Ti had full shaders, and Titan was gimped. Though 780 Ti had half the VRAM (3GB was enough back then) and crippled DP performance (I think that many gamer don't give a rat's ass about that).

12 GHz is an impressive factory oc, but as far i know most 1080 TI can clock vram to 12 GHz or more. My EVGA card is no different there. In fact first around the 12.5 GHz mark i get memory errors. I can rum memory between 12.44 GHz and 12.5 GHz for benchmark while i back down memory to 12.1 GHz for gaming/long time use to insure fully stability. Memory cut properly be pushed more but havent tried it out yet for long time use and when ever i run 12.1 GHz or 12.3 GHz for gaming the difference is hardly noticed any way.

Here some bench with my EVGA card with memory oc to 12.44 GHz to 12.5 GHz.
