24" TN monitor suggestions?

My BenQ XL2420T from 2013 developed a weird light by the center of the screen (Not sure if it can be fixed one way or another)

Hard to see a bit... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GIm9YroWcAADZ8b?format=jpg&name=4096x4096

While i can live with it, when drawing it can be a bother

I was thinking it's time to upgrade the monitor to something newer and better, even if minimal. However the whole "Pick your poison" is still there

A decade ago i was recommended to get the 1st line's monitor and pretty happy, specially after some calibration to keep good colours without killing my eyes from saturation/contrast/whatever

Now i wanted to ask what'd be worth for my case scenario:

-New games with story (ALAN WAKE 2, RESIDENT EVIL, platformers, etc)
-Fast paced games like DOOM ETERNAL and maybe some competitive games
-Basic Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe products' colouring, nothing professional. Been doing, again, fine with my actual monitor

I'm aware that:

-TN's angles sucks (Even tho i look straight all the time) and colours aren't the best but the Hz matters etc
-IPS colours are great, minus some blacks, but the backlight bleed lottery and IPS glow kills the experience in dark rooms with dark games (Like, distracting), including when there's light in the room

What i mean about can be seen here between 19:13 and 22:40

-No way with VA due to smearing and NO WAY with OLED due to burn-in + price.

My thoughts would be another TN to begin with, with BenQ's XL2411K for 240€ (As long as it's better than mine, since they're pretty similar) or maybe XL2540K for 300€, although the latter's said to have coil whine at the monitor and that's a huge no (Unless BenQ fixed it and says wich manufacturing date should appear at the box)... Wich's a first time to hear about coil whine ON A MONITOR. Alternatively but not that nice is the XL2546X but that one's 500~€ around and going below 240hz is said to have horrible overshoot or blurryness (Who knows whenever you want to play a very old 90's game from GOG and the motion kills it)

I know many people would say "TN shouldn't be bought in 2024 anymore" yet there they are...But atleast some advice?

I would suggest you look at this video from Hardware Unboxed:

And this website: https://www.rtings.com/

I have a VA panel, the black to grey smearing is unreal but you get used to it.

The ASUS and BenQ ones at the end are a big no for price and because on BenQ's coil whine at the monitors that have a K at the end (SERIOUSLY?!... COIL WHINE IN 2024 ON MONITORS?!)

Many people recommends the MSI g274qpf-qd one but that very specific model has an E2 version (Better fixed one?) but it's not sold at Spain, only the non-E2 version but on RTINGS it says it has blur motion among other 2 things: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/msi/g274qpf-qd

And NO, RTINGS didn't made a review of the E2. GIGABYTE one has input lag at 60hz (If i ever wanna play a very old game i don't wanna have this issue. Similar case with BenQ's XL2586X)

Smearing's a total NO...The thing is either TN or IPS but then there's both's poisons in 2024. IPS with IPS glow and backlight bleed. TN .... Well, been used to the colours of mine and stuff but any TN nowadays has a worser poison (Coil whine, Hz, etc). And sadly my BenQ XL2420T is not sold anymore

but the backlight bleed lottery and IPS glow kills the experience in dark rooms
Don't see anything like that happening on either of my IPS panels. Well, some glow exists on a 32" Viewsonic one but it's a very cheap model from a decade ago, might just be ageing.

To win in this lottery, you might buy several SKUs in a row. Setting brightness to low values also helps. Of course it's hard to find the true black in IPS but hey. It's even worse on TN.

I now rock an MSi G2712 and can't say anything bad about it. Yes, it's 27", not 24" but that's not the only monitor from MSi.
