Telltale Games has hit on hard times lately, following on the restructuring of its staff, which saw some 90 staff members (25% of the studios' workforce) being cut. It may be a case of too fast a growth, with the company branching out in numerous ways, with numerous franchises - with quality arguably having suffered in the process. But the studio is able to deliver memorable, fantastic single-player, narrative-driven experiences, even if they've sometimes stretched a little far off the perfect mark. The first and second season of the studios' take on The Walking Dead series, however, was dead-on.

Telltale has now announced that they'll be giving gamers the chance to "finish Clementine's story". I don't know if I want to know how literal that sentence may be, however; I still remember all the feels from Lee Everett. The company seems to have its thematic circles well though-off, though, and the teaser image is enough to give e some semblance of confidence in their delivery of the game. The axe, the lighting, the thematic resonance in these two teasers is a beautiful thing. here's hoping they hide similarly well-crafted stories. The Walking Dead - The Final Season will be available later this year for gamers in the usual platforms.

My younger brother really enjoys most of what Telltale puts out (I personally enjoyed the Back to the Future series they did, wasn't outstanding, but still a pretty solid game). I know he really liked The Walking Dead series so far and he even picked up a copy of of the first season for me on Steam during a sale, but I have yet to play it. I was hyped at first when I first saw Telltale was looking to put out a game, but after the TV show actually started getting really dumb and predictable, I lost interest in the game. My brother still got me a copy, but I have no reason to put forth the time to play it since I lost interest in the idea of the show. He'll be excited to see a final season is in the works for this series.

Sad that they're hitting hard times, but they did spread themselves a bit thin. It's great that the market for adventure even exists (I was starving after the 90s for awhile), but it still has a low ceiling.

I still haven't played Season 3, but I bought it.

Well they did the Walking Dead and The Wolf Among us very well and look forward to the continuing Clementine story, after that the quality had dropped a lot and ended up getting refunds due to a lack of polish.

Granted, they did tackle too many IPs at the same time. I'd add, however, that Tales from the Borderlands is the best Borderlands game I've ever played (and it's made by Telltale, not Gearbox). The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead were the definite highs in storytelling, though.
