Team Group's Delta RGB SSD is a unique solid-state drive due to its amazing RGB support. It connects to your motherboard's RGB header, which then gives you full control over the LEDs for mixed colors, patterns, and custom lighting effects. Performance is good too, so is pricing, with just $80 for the 250 GB version.

Bottom relative performance, but luckily a good price/GB. If you're in a roomy ATX case, grab a number of them to help with the light show (and capacity, performance). There's even some ITX that will show off two of them at once.

There have been I believe 2 or 3 other LED & RGB LED SSDs but this is the best implementation so far. The other SSD from Avexir and I forget the other were subpar performance & price wise. It's not my aesthetic but it's still cool that it's an option out there for someone that wants it.

Woulda kinda be neat for for PCI-E based SSDs to glow from red to orange to white as their tempeature increases.

LOL, when the MX500 is $10 cheaper?

That drive is better, but it doesn't mean that $0.32/GB is outrageous. Anyone against or ambivalent towards RGB won't care about this drive so the price is moot to those groups. Anyone looking for RGB is going to see a mere $10 (x2, x3, x4) premium, depending on how many they get.

I have said this multiple times to both @W1zzard and @cadaveca . TPU needs to have some video reviews along with written reviews. Reviewers don't even need to talk, just some 360 video to showcase the said RGB feature.

just your average SSD with addressable RGB LEDs. Still would get one. $80 for 250GB is quite compelling.

Considering my love for RGB I do understand. I'm in teamspeak and discord all the time, so speaking is not a problem. :p To be honest, I don't do video reviews because that tends to make that person the "face" of a site, and that person is W1zz, not me. I've had enough company reps think I was W1zz already. :p For small clips of lights on a product, usually there are other sites that have this video, so I put up several pictures, but yeah, the patterns could be shown better in video for sure. I need to set up a permanent box and have it ready to edit video and I'll add some to my reviews. I have a full key for Sony Vegas Pro, just no box to install it to. Having to deactivate software every week when I change boxes is a pain. I'm currently short SSDs and a PSU to get that rig built, but I'm working on it!

So in other words: This drive is pretty worthless unless you need/want it's particular flavour of RGB lighting, there are products that outperform it in every other way, for less money.

I'm not going to hate on giving it a decent score, seeing as it's only slightly worse, and the RGB is clearly the whole point, but I do think this is a product that can be safely described as "All fur coat and no knickers".

Now it's thermaltake's turn to complete their conquest of everything RGB with their own RGB SSD and (HDD if they can)

Since you made a tear down of this SSD, do you think it would be possible to replace the internals with a 2TB MX500 to have a 2TB rgb SSD?
Thank you
