Top optical sensor, Omron switches rated for 50 million clicks, an LCD display, and, of course, RGB lighting. All of these fit into a relatively small mouse shell that is mainly meant for palm gripping. This is the Surpassion, one of Cougar's high-end mice to compete in the sub-$40 price category.

This mouse has no driver software, which means the settings cannot be changed through your computer. There are but two buttons and an LCD panel at the bottom of the mouse, where you can fiddle around with the basic settings.
Thank you Cougar!
I wish more would do this, instead of bloated software, or, even worst, on the cloud  like Razer does.

Good review, well written, all the pertinent areas are covered, with useful pictures and videos where it counts :)

Cougar is truly one of those great companies out there that proves that amazing hardware can be had for less.
Indeed. Cougar has a lot of nice products in all categories.

I think my next mouse will be a Cougar.
The middle button of my M65 from Corsair died after just 4 years, so disappointed.

To be fair 4 years for a middle click is considered very good nowadays. Unfortunately the quality of materials are getting worse year by year.
I have some 16+ years old mice in my cabinet that still function as intended without any errors, but 2018 released mice won't work properly by 2034 for sure.

I went back to my old trusty Logitech MX518, which is like 7 years old now and works perfectly. If high end mice die after 4 years, whats the point of them?

I was half expecting a thread about a new adult game where players characters are women in their 40s.
