Fourth paragraph, last sentence - it doesn't read very well and bugs me:

"To me this looks like a more balanced approach, that ensures power draw and thus heat output don't that high, so the heatsink won't have to work as hard. "

Not sure if the first comma is necessary, but also missing a word or two to make it read properly. Perhaps something like this:

"To me this looks like a more balanced approach that ensures a lower power draw, thus resulting in a lower heat output so the heatsink won't have to work as hard."

OR

"To me this looks like a more balanced approach. This ensures a lower power draw, thus a lower heat output so the heatsink won't have to work as hard."

Otherwise everything else is good. Awesome work on all these reviews. Too bad I don't think the price justifies the card. However, looking at things from my personal perspective on the fact that I have a 980Ti, the 2080/2080Ti alone can provide up to or more than twice the performance of my card. On that end of things, these cards look impressive if I were to upgrade. But, as I said, those prices are just not worth it in my opinion and I'll gladly stick with what I have since my 980Ti more than meets my current needs.

It's been a good time sink reading through all these reviews. Thanks for the hard work.

On that end of things, these cards look impressive if I were to upgrade. Yeah, I remember back in the day when companies weren't that crazy and were only releasing graphics cards for $1,500...wait...no...people here praised those cards like they were the second coming. I wonder what the difference was.

I suspect I would have said the same thing back then. There are people out there willing fork out that much cash, such as 1080 or 1080 TI in SLI or Vega 64 in CF.

Does it have fanconnect II? On the gallery you show pictures of the 2080 and we can see the fanconnect but i can't find any mention of fanconnect on the 2080 ti. Can you confirm its presence or not?

Long story short, if you have 1080 or 1080ti and on 1440p or less and don't want to burn money unnecessarily, skip the new gen.

As I feared I got my answer, not sure if anyone else is interested but they did remove fanconnect on the 2080 ti. This doesn't make any sense since the 2080 has this feature. For such a price they could have put the fanconnect which was quite useful for me...

That is odd, one picture in W1z's review shows the fan headers there, but the PCB shots in W1z's review shows them missing. There are spaces for them on the PCB, but the actual headers are soldered on.

Makes me wonder if ASUS planned to have them, but had to cut them for some reason. Or maybe they just aren't there on the sample boards?

ASUS claims on their site that both the 2080 and 2080Ti have two fan connect headers.

My sample is an early one, so I assume they just forgot to put it in, since the more recently produced 2080 has it. Let me double check

Actually, your exact words were "what a monster", you seemed to have no issue with the $1,500 price back then. In fact, you can go through that entire thread, there is no outrage about the price, despite it being even higher than the 2080Ti over 4 years ago.

Don't get me wrong, $1,200 is still a crazy price to pay for a graphics card, and way beyond what I'd be willing to spend. However, everyone is freaking out about the price, when in reality it is pretty well in line with the historical pricing of a completely unrivaled king of the hill graphics card. If anything, it's priced a little lower than they have been in the past...

I already answered that. The dates I mentioned were the released dates of the cards, and they were priced that much at release.

What cards?

AMD R9 295X2 and Radeon Pro Duo. The Radeon Pro Duo you can maybe give them a pass on the high price, because they tried to market it as a "Prosumer" product like the Titans, which usually have a higher price tag, but the R9 295X2 was a straight up desktop card priced at $1500(AFAIK still the highest priced desktop card to date).

Both were price at $1,500 at release.
