Question about dlss. If 4k dlss runs 1440p + some fancy tricks,will 1440p run 1080p + AI supersampling ? Or is it for 4K exclusively ?

as far as I understand DLSS does not work at lower resolutions like 1080p

So the strix is running 10C cooler than everyone else with +2 decibles louder than everyone else. Is the heatsink that chunky? Fans running that much faster? I feel like they just have a temperature probe placed differently to look that much colder..

Why do they even bother with driver discs now, when using Windows 10 it finds the correct drivers anyway.

Well at least that star wars ray tracing demo can be run with RTX on 1440p with DLSS. Don't know about 1080p though, might just be that it will be more cpu bottlenecked than gpu, if rendering game under fullhd resolution and upscale it with DLSS(Heck games with high end gpus are already cpu bound at 1080p). 1080p and DLSS 2x might be actually usable scenario for this new AI tech. When to think of it DLSS is rendered at lower resolution and then reconstructed with tensor cores to higher resolution. So if normal DLSS renders at 1080p and is AI upscaled to 1440p half the task for DLSS 2x is done for 1080p with DLSS 2x.

On other question: Have you @W1zzard considered to up the resolution which you take that Dynamic OC: Clock vs Voltage graph on page 37. I'm just wondering if those gpu clocks will be lower, if you use higher than cpu bound 1080p resolution.

As far I can understand,the upscaled image is not inferred from the base resolution but from the image trained on dgx and then implemented in drivers. Means each new dlss game needs a new game ready driver but dlss might actually work fine on resolutions lower than 4k.

I had to register and leave a comment on this guy.
The performance per dollar is 4-5% worse on this. Why would you release a card which is more expensive and equally as good? It just doesn't make sense.
EDIT: unless they are trying to kill the old series and only leave this one, which is even more expensive than before and equally as good.

Ok, my bad. I thought this was a 2080 Super card. Apparently not.

I have this graphic card and my card has Samsung memory. I can pushit +1250Mhz in MSI Afterburner. Has some try to put another BIOS? I found that the last BIOS hat a TDP of 320W, but there are some other BIOS that hat better TDP until 350W. That is nearly 30W more...
