MSI pulled out all the stops for their massive, EATX-sized MEG Z390 Godlike motherboard, which comes with three M.2 slots, full RGB support, and an adapter to add two more M.2 NVMe slots. You also get an OLED screen that can display pre-programmed stats and messages.

Info wasn't available at time of writing, and this is not a "review"; it clearly states preview.

Full proper review will come when it is allowed. Hopefully by then we will have retail pricing.

Nice, I didn't doubt all manufacturer re-designed pre-installed I/O plate.
I'm proud owner of ROG 10th Anniversary board, first board on planet with new pre-installed I/O plate.

I must say this MSI board is nicer in box than inside PC when different colorfull LEDs start show.
This is their No 1 I think and cost fortune.
But we know very good who is star of the night, Maximus XI Extreme and second Maximus XI Formula my favorite.

I dreamed Maximus XI Formula with EK VRM block and EK Velocity Full Nickel.

I dont know what MSI was thinking when they begin to project a more expensive than a x299 premium motherboard.
There is definitely a market for this, and given what the board offers, I can understand why it is priced so. A video-encoding card in the box (not a small thing), plus a M.2 PCIe adapter have their costs, and this increases the value of this product by a fair bit, nevermind the huge number of features that this board has on offer. Without these add-in cards it'd definitely be priced much lower. From what we've seen for what MSI has for Z390, there is another MEG board, and it should be priced much more reasonably, but still high. This particular board definitely caters to top-level streamers, who can definitely afford $600. I actually thought it might be priced a bit more than that, so I'm rather happy with that cost. But then, I'm also a bit crazy, so whatevs. :p

Benchmark Scores A lot.
Expansion Slots:
4x PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (x16/x0/x0/x4 or x8/x0/x8/x4)
1x PCIe 3.0 x1 slots
So the second PCIe x16 slot is always disconnected then? :kookoo:

I understand theres a market for this, but is $100 above asus most expensive counterpart (Maximus XI Extreme)

Also, do we really need 5 M2 slots which bottleneck as hell because PCH? Or even 4 way SLI which not even Nvidia recommends?

Five USB ports is nowhere near enough for a board of this type in this day and age. There is plenty of room on the I/O plate to fit more. Given this board is marketed at streamers even at a basic level it is not enough:
1. Keyboard
2. Mouse
3. Webcam
4. USB Microphone/audio interface
5. Xbox/Steam Controller
6. USB stick / Phone
+ whatever else

600$ what value? You totally can't get a rog rampage vi extreme x299 board that's complete overkill and is much better.
