The Mistel MX650 comes from a fairly unknown brand in the PSU market, but packs lots of interesting features, including passive design, RGB lighting, and super compact dimensions. Is it worthy of its high price tag, though?

Nice review! Seems like a solid unit. Think I would prefer a PSU with a fan. PSU fans are really quiet these days and running without one just seems risky to me.

Nice review.

Surly anything without a fan is going to need good case with fans to stop build up of heat, with PSU, CPU and Graphics card, so i don't really see the point of a PSU without a fan, the PC would just become a passive heater without any fans.

The PC it's self is surly going to have some fans in it (graphics card, CPU or radiator fans) making noise and i cant honestly say the noise added from a PSU fan wont make that much difference to the noise a PC makes anyway.

Like lexluthermiester says, I to would prefer a PSU with a fan and of course peace of mind im not just adding heat to the case and other installed hardware

although I guess you could add a fan to it, knowing it's built for passive and quality parts but now got air added should aid it's life and performance?

aside that ... looks like a decent, albeit a bit pricey, fanless PSU, good review.

tell me RGB lighting isnt now common place in Power supplies.....Soon, the RGB lights will have RGB lights. All thats left is HDD's & SSD's, and we are overrun with RGb.... Enthusiast PC culture is getting Liberace 'd ...its like a UFO sitting on desks across the world :)
