Two new Mini-PCs close one of the last small gaps in Shuttle's XPC slim series, which especially in the 3-litre format did not offer support for socketed 8th generation Intel Core processors. The popular range is now being expanded by the XH310 and XH310V models.

The models with a 3-litre volume are the largest and therefore most flexible ones in the XPC slim series. They are based on the Intel H310 chipset and support Intel processors up to 65 Watt of TDP for socket LGA1151v2. Up to 32 GB DDR4 memory can be used in both devices.

  • Available in two design versions
  • HDMI 2.0, Dual Gigabit and remote power-on

Despite their height of just 7.2 cm and width of 20 cm, the models come with an extensive set of features. This includes 2x Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.0a, DisplayPort, VGA, 2x RS-232, 3x SATA, space for two hard drives and one NVMe SSD as well as further M.2 expansion possibilities. If required, the XH310 can be configured with a total of five serial interfaces that will use the bay of the optical drive.

"The technical specifications of the two models resemble those of a large PC," says Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. "Three monitor ports, dual LAN and free choice of drives provide flexibility for (almost) any application."

In direct comparison, the XH310V has front flaps that cover the optical drive bay and ports. The XH310 does without flaps, other technical specs remain nearly identical.

The external remote power-on connection is also new with this chassis type and allows both Mini-PCs to be started remotely. This was previously only available on 1.3-litre models from Shuttle.

Optional accessories include a stand for vertical operation (PS01), a VESA/wall mount (PV02), a 3.5" drive frame (PHD4), a WLAN kit with Bluetooth (WLN-M) and a cable for the remote power-on connection (CXP01). Only the XH310 can be equipped with three additional COM ports (PCM31).

The recommended retail price from Shuttle for the XPC Barebone XH310 and XH310V is EUR 192.00 (ex VAT) each. Both models mentioned are available from specialist retailers Europe-wide upon publication of this press release.

Something has to be done in Shuttle. If you're going to make premium mini PCs, you better change your design once in a while.
These look like the ones ive seen in 2008, and even then they looked outdated.

Came here to say the same thing as the two posters above. Looks exactly the same as it did almost 10 years ago... just has an i7-8700 instead of i7-870.
