Palit's GeForce RTX 2070 GameRock Premium is the company's highest-specced RTX 2070 variant. It comes overclocked out of the box to 1815 MHz boost and features a large triple-slot cooler that delivers excellent temperatures. With $600, pricing matches that of the NVIDIA Founders Edition.

Great review. TBH I'd rather pick a EVGA 2070 black at $499

So this is the all new test setup with 19.1.1. And RTX2060 is ~same level as Vega64. That should put all the doubters to rest.

Well overall lovely card, but that price is really killing it...

Have you forgot to add some text on page33? While yeah Clock frequencies and thermal analysis is quite the self explaining, some test run explanation should be there. To my eye card haven't really reached final equilibrium.

EDIt:
Oi, wiz, second bios should have zero rpm mode

Why on earth have they put that on secondary non-default bios. But nonetheless it's good to know there's zero rpm idle mode on this card.

Can't blame you, had to figure this one out myself. There's no info anywhere about this stuff.
A simple print or sticker on the box could have helped

Yeah it's a small print on their specification page:

Edit: Well to be fair it's marketed in the product page too

Added some text. Equilibrium should have been reached - no increase in maximum temperature for two minutes. I'll rerun with three minutes and see if that makes any difference.

Edit: yeah, no change

Edit 2: Added time scale with seconds on the x axis for the chart in the review

Review has been updated. Thanks again for the heads up

I couldn't be more happy about this review. I know it most have cost a lot of time to redo all benchmarks. But now you have a very clean and correct review.
Not as much cards, but you do have all Nvidia cards and all AMD cards tested on modern drivers.

I did not want the Vega 64 to beat the RTX 2060, but I did want to know if it could. And unless you can find a Vega 64 for less then 350$, the RTX 2060 is simply the best card for 1080p and 1440p gaming at the moment.

By posting these charts that are up-to-date, you also exposed techspot.com posting fake benchmarks in their RTX 2060 review.

If you read techspot.com latest RTX 2060 review they clearly write:
We used AMD's Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.1.1 drivers for the Radeon GPUs and Game Ready 417.35 WHQL for the GeForce GPUs.

But their claim that they used those drivers is 100% false. In the TPU reviews, you clearly see the performance improvements done by AMD in the latest drivers in Battlefield V while on techpost.com all AMD benchmarks show the exact same results as on driver 18.11.1 from two months ago. Not only that, Nvidia has also improved performance going form driver 416.81 to driver to driver 417.35 , clearly visible when you compare the original Battlefield V performance review on TPU with the latest RTX 2070 review, but on techspot.com the Nvidia performance on 1440p stays exactly the same on all cards, both the minimum and avarage fps. Simply not possible.

Thanks again for the efforts! And thanks for exposing techspot's fake charts! You just got another Patreon supporter!

Does the newer RTX 2070 and RTX 2060 suppose to have less chance to fail than the 2080ti ? I'm talking about the "Space Invaders" artifacts , on nvidia forums there were a concerning amount of 2080ti owners and some youtubers that have the "Space Invaders" artifacts which usually end with dead cards.

Is there any chance that newer batches have less chance to die ?

Been using and hammering my 2080Ti since launch. No problem so far. IMO the whole thing is blown out of proportion.

The issue with dying cards was limited to the 2080 Ti only and was caused by a quality assurance issue according to NVIDIA, and all of the faulty cards have been replaced. None of the other RTX cards (2080, 2070, 2060) suffer from this issue.

Fantastic review, the new Clock frequencies and thermal analysis section is a welcome addition! Love to see the fan rpm as well.
