You don't even have to look at the RX 590, just look at the Radeon VII. The Radeon VII doesn't even compete with the RTX 2080, but AMD priced it the same. I guarantee you if the RTX 2080 didn't exist, the Radeon VII would have been $1,000. When AMD can get away with over pricing their cards, they do, just like nVidia does.

The Zotac on Amazon list 12Gbps, which is 1500MHz DDR6. I'm pretty sure the Gigabyte also means 12Gbps even though they put 1200MHz, that is likely just a typo on Amazon/Gigabyte's part.

1500MHz x 8-Bit/clock = 12Gb/s

Yeah, you are right. I mentioned rx 590 because it does not have any new technology like HBM2 or GDDR6 or even a new architecture so fanboys could not bring some excuses for the high price.

Pretty good value. I will definitely be recommending it to people as a solid 1080p card. I feel 1440p really needs power closer to a rtx 2070 for comfortable fps.

Nice one. Finally some price/performance improvements. Let the GPU price war begin. I'll wait till 7th July when Navi comes out before pulling the trigger. AMD will have to offer even lower prices now. Vega 56 has started to sell for only €269 (blower addition) today. I'm expecting Navi to be priced south of €250. Maybe we can see RX 570 finally lose it's price/performance crown by he end of the year. 2019 might turn to be OK year for GPU buyers after all.

People might call me a troll but lack of RTX and DLSS is hardly a negative at this current juncture of all junctures.

The real negative is when you turn RTX/DLSS on and it eats more than half your frames and looks almost identical to ultra quality settings at 1440p. All that extra money spent on an RTX card when all you needed was to run 1440p or 4k resolutions

I count idle stop as being a pretty important feature, and it is one of the reasons why I definitely prefer MSI's gaming-x and armor lines to their ventus line.

I stupidly got a 2080ti FE last year, and the damn fans were annoyingly loud, even at idle. I am certainly not making that mistake again.

50C idle with fans off is still too high. My 970 Stix also turns off the fans on idle but sits at ~36-38C and it is a higher TDP card.

P.S. It's just another poorly priced card for over 300$ - think people here forget about IRL pricing, just as always. 2080 Ti should've been 999$ aswell....

So you say that compared to the GTX 1060 which outperformed the GTX 980 for a $250 price, a GTX 1660Ti which gets GTX 1070 performance for $280 without increasing VRAM is good. ROFLMAO. Your power hungry words are the only you can use now. And you use it for a 30-50W difference. Which means nothing IRL. How pathetic you are.

Who said that AMD is a charity company? Doesn't compete with RTX 2080? Have you checked reviews? Techspot measured 7% difference between them based on a 33 game average. And it has double the expensive HBM compared to the RTX 2080's 8 GB. Nearly half of the cost of the Radeon VII comes from the VRAM. At 7:32:

Just like NV does? When they announced a near 50% drop in gaming GPU market, they didn't lower the RTX prices - but they selling in low numbers.

Performance (1440p): Vega 56 has a 3% edge in the " out of the box" performance test, but 1660 Ti gains 9.6%, vega doesn't do well here, Edge =>1660 Ti .. at 1080P even more so.
Power Usage: 141 under peak gaming for the Ti; 237 for Vega 56, Edge (59%) =>1660 Ti
Noise @ Idle: 0 dbA for the 1660 Ti, 25 for the Vega 56, Edge (Infinity) =>1660 Ti
Noise @ load: 32 dbA for the 1660 Ti, 42 for the Vega 56 making it twice as loud, Edge (50%) =>1660 Ti
Temps @ Load: 68C for the 1660 Ti, 75 for the Vega 56, Edge (91%) =>1660 Ti
Price(newegg MSI Gaming X): $310 for the 1660 Ti, $400 for the Vega 56, Edge (77%) =>1660 Ti

The Vega 56 just ceased to be relevant in any way. To get sold, it needs to drop in price 35% to $259

The power efficiency of this card is tremendous. Just imagine what Turing on 7nm could be...

The price needs to be a little lower, but overall, its a good card. It will probably be the new sales champion in the mid-end, like GTX 1060 was!

All Nvidia need to do now is bring 1650 for £150 with 1024 CUDA cores and 1060+ performance then i won't be able to say my 570 is still the best value card available. Lol.
