SilverStone today rolled out the Strider Plus Bronze line of mid-range power supplies with full modular cabling. These PSUs feature an up-to-date ATX/EPS standards readiness and give you everything you need to set up a powerful gaming desktop. Available in capacities of 550W, 650W, and 750W, these PSUs feature a compact design with just 140 mm depth. A 120 mm fan with 18 dBA minimum noise output is used to keep the unit cool. SilverStone has included flat ribbon-type cables.

Under the hood is a single +12V rail design with 80 Plus Bronze efficiency, with a 42.5A rail powering the 550W model, a 50.8A rail for the 650W model, and a 59.2A rail for the 750W model. You also get active PFC, the latest C-states support, and most common electrical protections, against over/under-voltage, overload, overheat, and short-circuit. The 550W model provides one 4+4-pin EPS and two 6+2-pin PCIe connectors; the 650W model offers one 4+4-pin EPS and four 6+2-pin PCIe, while the 750W model tops the range with two 4+4-pin EPS and four 6+2-pin PCIe connectors. All three models offer eight SATA power and at least three 4-pin Molex connectors. The company didn't reveal pricing.

I would definitely like to see a TPU review for these units. [H] covered some higher end SilverStone units last year which reviewed quite well.

Why? Bronze units are a dime a dozen, Gold and higher efficiencies are where it's at.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Because not all care to or can afford the premium (big or small) for a Gold+ rated PSU. ;)

That's true, but the gold and higher units usually hold premium prices as well. I build novelty systems for fun with older components which don't really command high wattages. I have little need for super high efficiency, so some coverage of these lower tier models would be good at least for validation purposes. It's nice for peace of mind's sake that when you're buying a cheaper part, especially a critical component like a PSU, that they're hopefully not going to end up harming my other precious components.

That is so untrue! The main advantages of a gold rated psu are the low noise and usually extended warranty, and that's it.

People overrate psu so much nowadays like if you shouldnt ever use a bronze unit. Makes no sense. I ran a corsair vx550 bronze for 10 freaking years and stopped using it just because Didnt want to take the risk of it eventually failing.

Benchmark Scores it sucks even more less now ;)
so all they've done is re-release a unit they already make namely the ST55/65/75 F-P and added a B to the name for Bronze pffft what a waste of time unless there's some significant other changes inside the units

Oh and they added flat style cables
