No ViewSonic, you can't improve RGB coverage by adding RGB leds on your monitor...

270€ for 1080p 144Hz TN monitor? Nice Pivot stand is always plus, but meh.

ViewSonic XG2402 was already the best 144hz monitor out there. It had the best overdrive and input lag and is still considered a masterpiece amongst BlurBursters forum/community. XG240R improved that even further, but is a bit on the expensive side. I would still get a XG2402 for 200€. At 270€ you can already start looking at 240hz models, like the Dell AW2518HF or the Asus XG248Q. Wouldn´t pay more than 220€ for a 1080p 144hz panel in 2019.

Either way, this model is very good and the review is amazing. Just don´t like the input lag methodology (outdated) and lacks comparasion with other models for a better clear picture, but otherwise great job!

Not a monitor I would consider today.

1. No Motion Blur reduction Technology. At 1080p w/ any decent GFX card, fps should be way above the point where adaptive sync's benefit pale next to MBR Reduction.

2. Class 2 lag performance.

3. Not IPS and only 8 bit (no FRC)

Overpriced to cater to a niche. Fine within that niche, pointless outside of it.

High refresh TN these days really shouldn't cost more than 150 bucks, especially at this res/diagonal.

So you never saw a "REAL" monitor review before ... this is approaching a nice level though, well done.

Excellent review of mediocre monitor. :D

Kinda need upgrade, can someone force EIZO to make one up-to-date?

Are they still selling TN monitors? Oh my

Good TN panels are not bad these days. You can buy terrible IPS panels that are perceptively worse compared to a really good TN...

I wanted a high refresh slightly bigger display and opted for an AOC C24G1 wich is VA, after an LG IPS224V. Can't really complain tbh.

To be honest, not in a long time, hence my comment. Happy to see where the "REAL" monitor reviews are though.

It is not mediocre, it is one of, if not, the best TN 1080p 144hz monitor out there. Overdrive, input lag, response time, gamma controls (for TN), etc.

But in the end of the day, its still TN. Cant find reason to buy 1080p 144Hz TN today. Considering you can have 1080p 144Hz with IPS or PVA and variants too. TN has some point if you want stuff thats way over 200Hz, which is too much for others. On other hand it has some questionable gain, given apart low rest and low details, most games cant run that fast (well most GPUs cant do that).
