CORSAIR , a world leader in PC gaming peripherals and enthusiast components, today unveiled the new CORSAIR Force Series MP600 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 SSD, one of the world's first PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSDs compatible with the new AMD X570 chipset, also revealed today. Unleashed by the PCIe 4.0 ready AMD X570 chipset, the MP600 reaches new heights of enthusiast single-drive storage performance, delivering up to 4950MB/sec sequential read - ten times the performance of many SATA SSDs, and fifty times faster than some hard disk drives.

The MP600's phenomenal performance stems from the hugely increased bandwidth of PCIe 4.0 (PCI-Express Generation 4), a feature that will be made available to customers for the first time as part of the AMD X570 chipset and 3rd Generation AMD Ryzen Desktop Processors. Easily fitting into a PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot, the MP600's NVMe interface and high-density 3D TLC NAND combine with a Phison PS5016-E16 controller to enable a new level of single-drive SSD performance. Boasting up to 4,950MB/s sequential read and 4,250MB/s sequential write speeds, the MP600 is ready to become the storage center of your new 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Desktop Processor and AMD X570 chipset-based system.

Alongside today's unveiling of the MP600 and the AMD X570 chipset, CORSAIR is proud to announce wide-ranging compatibility across its full lineup of products for both the new AMD X570 chipset and the upcoming range of 3rd Generation AMD Ryzen Desktop Processors. From high-efficiency power supplies, performance all-in-one liquid CPU coolers and enthusiast cases to high-speed SSDs and performance DDR4 memory, CORSAIR components ensure that users will get the most from AMD's exciting new platform and range of processors.

"AMD is making huge strides in bringing new, high-performance features to the PC enthusiast market, and we're delighted to be able to partner with them in doing so," said Andy Paul, Founder and CEO of CORSAIR. "With the MP600, AMD X570 motherboard owners will be able to experience the benefits of PCIe 4.0 immediately, with the fastest CORSAIR SSD yet at the center of their system."

"CORSAIR has long been a key AMD partner, supporting AMD processers and boards with its wide-range of performance DDR memory and PC components" said Chris Kilburn, corporate vice president and general manager, Client Channel, AMD. "The MP600 is the ideal continuation of that partnership, bringing amazing new high-performance storage to platforms built on our revolutionary new PCIe 4.0 ready AMD X570 chipset."

Availability, Warranty
The CORSAIR Force Series MP600 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 SSD will be available alongside the full launch of AMD X570 chipset motherboards and new 3rd Generation AMD Ryzen Desktop Processors in July 2019. The MP600 will be available from the CORSAIR worldwide network of authorized retailers and distributors.

The Force Series MP600 is backed by a five-year warranty and the CORSAIR worldwide customer service and technical support network.

Corsair forgot to tell us the price. This should pair quite nicely with ryzen 3900x + x570 + navi 5070.

I think is a waste of money if we dont pair them with, buying a x570 and using pcie3 devices is a waste, really. If people want to combo pcie3 devices then dont bother buying the x570, well i would not. Many people say future proof, I myself say present proof, paying a new tech to use later is a waste of money and sense.

I like the heatsink but as always, corsair charges an arm and leg for an added heatsink, they do that to memories, hope wont be the case this time.

THIS is the giant elephant in the room, not ipc or Ghz or cores or perf/W

Even if the new Ryzens were still a bit slower than Coffee Lake (which they are not, they are faster in every way other than "raw Ghz"), the new platform is still WAY more attractive than anything Intel (for consumers), simply because of freekin' PCI-e 4 !!

So true, when they "forget" it usually means a "big premium" price.

Yeah hopefully 3700x is as amd claims, at least 1% faster than 9700k in single thread workloads and just like I said before buying a x570 and pair with pcie3 devices makes no sense whatsoever.

it depends on your upgrade. going from a laptop what SSD to a desktop with obe of the best pcie3 nvme is more tha enough for people like me. and the price of pci3 should go down

Like I said before if staying or going pcie3 then buy the cheapest am4 board that supports 2280 is the best choice.

Why? What exactly does PCIe 4 offer that PCIe 3 does not? More bandwidth... oh wait, graphics cards are fine with PCIe 3 x8.

As for SSD bandwidth, you are almost never going to benefit from these stupidly high 4GB/sec numbers that are being thrown around, because sequential reads are the least common type of workload. Random reads and writes are the most critical metric for SSD performance and I guarantee you that those will be hardly improved, perhaps even regressed, compared to current SSDs that are "only" PCIe 3.

.... bla bla bla yada yada you are almost never going to benefit from these stupidly high 4GB/sec numbers bla bla bla....
... unless you're a video editor dealing with 4K footage on multiple tracks, and watching Windows 10 drive performance hit 99.9%, utilization 3+ GB/s and getting the SSD more hot than the sun after a few hours of work. Luckily I got an aftermarket heat-sink which does the job decently of keeping the SSD from throttling (too bad).

Can't wait to do NVMe RAID with one drive from CPU and another one from Chipset, to actually have full bandwidth of all 8 lanes.

I never said this upgrade applies to Joe Average Gamer & corp.

Edit: Or 15 GB/s...

x570 though gives you the chance to buy pcie4 SSD later on, especially after seeing how these ssds perform. personally I got a air of 1tb sx8200 pro the last few days and will pick up a pcie4 when I see some benchmarks

I'm not sure if you know but some motherboard vendors updated their bios with pcie4 support, not sure how it works on motherboards like x470 or 450. So I guess now it depends on price and see if it properly works or not. I guess we will have to wait for reviews next month to see.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
If they are chipset fed lanes for the m.2 slot, I'm not sure the chipset suddenly turns to pcie 4.0 due to the bios flash AMD CPU... but not sure. AFAIK, the update is for the PCIe slots and not all boards can handle it anyway.

will this comaptible or fit on the old NVMe Gen3x4 PCIe M.2 2280 Interface?

yeah I noticed that a few days ago. I think X470 has partial support for PCIe4, so I wanted to go with X570 for this and all the small Ryzen 3 features its supposed to support over X470. but a review next month will help confirm the differences between the 2 true
