Would it be possible to take the connector off of the end of the proprietary RGB cable and stick the wires into one that can actually be used on a motherboard header? I'm kinda new to this, but looking at some diagrams tells me "no."

corsairs lighting isnt compatible, since they came up with their addressable design before ARGB was a universal standard.
be nice if they released an adaptor of some kind, but it seems unlikely.

since my current build is all corsair RGB, the XC7 and custom water really does tempt me in the future... except that the ryzen 3000 series are so low wattage, it may not be worth it lol

@Mussels Not worth it? Haven't you heard? They love to overclock!
:fear:
I'm gonna just hope that's true, not that I'm upgrading anytime soon.

the heat will be insane unless you disable cores, i'd rather stick with good turbo and 65w TDP than all core 4.5ghz and 200W (not that we know what it will be yet)

"While not the best performer, it is well within margin of error to those above it. " Might want to edit that .... All of them above it are w/i margin of error ?

At the Hydro's 42.10, the ones above it include the best performer at 40.15 C ... a 1.95C spread from the Hydro. The 2nd worse is at 43.85C is just 1.75 C different

So, in other words, only one of the entire range from best to 2nd worst is within the + / - 1.95 margin of error ?
