If you're after a wireless gaming headset but were holding out until Sennheiser releases one, the wait is now officially over. Meet the Sennheiser GSP 670, a headset that's going to knock your socks off with its price, but also tries really hard to justify it by offering top-of-the-line performance.

Can anybody describe how it works if you go away from source of sound and possible distance. I use old Sennheiser wireless FM headphones and wired mic and if i decide to go and make myself cup of tea i still hear voices of my friends or continue listening to my favorite "podcast". And headphones still usable through 3 concrete walls and about 10m range from transmitter.

"The main reason we chose Micro-USB is because we did not feel confident in the connection of the cable to the headset with USB-C. A Micro-USB connection feels much tighter and more secure than a USB-C connection."

The real reason is that they didn't want to pay the license fee for USB-C. And what is this bs not feeling confident of the cables connection? Micro-usb has to be most unrealiable type of connecting your device to anything ever. Lying about it just makes things worse.

Is the most expensive headset on the market $349 seems a little steep. These must sound amazing to have gotten awards from you guys.

They're out of their freaking minds. $300+? No USB-C?

My wait continues. Makes me throw their entire reputation in doubt. If they say something that STUPID about micro vs. C, what do they know about sound?!

*edit*

and if that's how they feel, why not make it USB-A to USB-A?!

Based on my Corsair Virtuoso SE, that may or may not work. Going downstairs, (high ceiling, concrete, rebar etc.) I can still connect wirelessly, but there's some slight cutouts and if I get too far from the USB dongle (which might not be in an idea position when connected to my PC) it'll cut out completely, but then re-connect as I move closer. I have problem with Wi-Fi in the house, so this isn't so surprising, as this is using a lot less transmit power than Wi-Fi. It might be a bit easier in your scenario, but there are no guarantees. Technically speaking, older 433MHz or 900MHz wireless devices have far better range, but are either only one-way or offer much poorer audio quality.

There's no license fee for USB-C, but the connector and the electronics for charging using USB-C is more expensive than micro USB. However, considering the cost of the headset, that's really quite a lame excuse, as the cost difference would be $1-2 at the most.

Real 5.1 surround and a metal frame like Hyper X and they'd have a deal. Otherwise, nuts to Sennheiser.

How do you make real 5.1 surround sound with only two speakers?
