Sharkhan looks to conquer the entry-level cooler market with its APEX4 offering. This new release packs ARGB lighting, achieves solid temperatures and good noise levels. Priced at $30, the Sharkhan APEX4 doesn't break the bank either.

Sort of. but the T4 snowman is a lot cheaper. The current top of the range T6 snowman costs $17-20 - sharkhan are charging $30 and has less heatpipes than the T6

Pretty forgettable product lacking quality and last I read direct touch heatpipes aren't really a plus... I do think the advantage of a cheap tower heatsink is the fact it has a proper mounting set that you can actually use more than once. Because frankly, it really isn't cheap at all if you look at its limited reusability.

The RGB is nicely done, other than that, this sink gets soaked just like every other one of similar size, and it carries that big fat minus of being useful really only for one build.

I'm also seeing pretty high fan RPMs to get the mediocre cooling results. @crazyeyesreaper have you ever had a Gelid Tranquillo in your testing? I'd be curious where it ends up compared to this guy. It sells at similar or lower price, offers a more silent fan and no push pin.

Sharkhan? First time I heard about them. Seems to me that they tried to use Sharkoon's name for better brand recognition. China much? Not saying that China doesn't make good products - they certainly do have a few excellent products, but most are just beyond bad.

I mean it is exactly the same heatsink with a different fan and a Cover on top. The mounting style, the exact shape of the fins, the position of the heatpipes is 100% the same. You can just buy the heatsink w/o fan on aliexpress (no much cheaper than with) so they probably did that an modified it to look a bit different

The basic Snowman T4 is $14.92

No.

TPU arent really in the business of reviewing obscure random stuff like a lot of tech youtubers do. In any case, thats an issue to take up with @crazyeyesreaper as he is the resident CPU heatsink reviewer or with W1zzard as he might not have the budget to allow the purchasing of stuff if they cant get in contact with the manufacturer for a sample unit.

If TPU were in that sort of field then i would love to see some of the boot leg frankenstein motherboards that are built using chipsets and vrms from other motherboards. theres been a mad craze of X79 boards with crazy chipset designs... Bios is junk obviously but the platform still works really good.

That's fine I just tend to look at TPU reviews rather than every other site..

No issue here from me :) Sometimes being an individual is much better than following the crowd....

I wish TPU would. sometimes its good to see what not a lot of money can buy from markets in China. Apart from its fake GPUs of course.

The Sharkhan is a complete rip-off of Sharkoon name...

However Sharkoon is not the most popular brand in the industry. In their place I would choose Carsair, Nactua, Thermalgive or Cooler Mustard brand instead
