the DM4 Evo is a bit heavier at 98 g than I'd prefer in this day and age.
Has the introduction of high-core count CPU's made the weight of the mouse such a problem that we need 50g or less in order to call it 'high quality' or something? I never get mouse reviews that complain about the weight and it's not the first time I've made this comment.
I must be missing something in this day and age, really....
And before anyone jumps in my a&& about this post.... remember the fabled Logitech G5 from 10+ years ago? The total weight with all additional weights added was just over 150g - or 105g-ish without additionals - and the precision, even for an Avago 9800 sensor from the time of the dinosaurs, was impressive.
More examples:
MX518 = 102g
Intellimouse 3.0 - 141g
Deathadder Respawn - 148g
Sidewinder X5 - 162g
It's not like any of the 5 mice I've mentioned would damage or hurt your wrist when using them; even for protracted periods.
And lastly, I drag you readers back to the Logitech G9 review from TPU it's self, where another reviewer from a different time actually saw benefit in weight:
The world is an odd place.
Edit-> as noted as a negative in the screenshot above, I don't miss the weights rattling around inside the mouse though!
But, YMMV in if this happened to you.
