The Aerocool Duke AeroSuede is a very affordable gaming chair that supports large (and heavy) users. Its upholstery comes in four dark colors and has carbon-like patterns as visual highlights. With a price tag of only $199, it look like a real bargain, but is that truly the case?

Is it just me, or there are a lot of gaming chair reviews lately?

Aren't a lot of them identical or nearly identical (aside from color and branding)?
I'd swear that there are various chairs that look (nearly) exactly the same. They probably all get it from the same OEM in China or something.

"only" 199. When I think cheap, I think something on sale at Staples for 65 bucks.

it terms of these silly "gaming" chairs... yes that is "cheap" and some are well over $600+

I have a Staples.. or maybe Target chair... it isn't a gaming chair :( but I game in it ;) and it didn't cost more than $50 and have had it for over 10 years. $5/YEAR is pretty cheap ;)

The term "gaming" across the computer industry has blown marketing margins out of the sky and allowed them to brand something that was a chair but now is a gaming chair so it must be worth an extra hundred or two. a nice office chair does cost $500+ though.

maybe if i was 330.69 lbs I would need a chair like this

This ^^

I mean it's almost like if they attach a "racing" seat to the base of any chair, it becomes a "gaming" chair. I have one of these chairs and it cost me under 100 bucks. Yeah it might not be the best, but i did not have to sell a kidney to get it.

Looks pretty sloppy, plasticky and easy to break.

When I see a female review it's so obviously trying to sell something that is not good quality and what we don't actually need, I have an ergonomic chair and laugh on those so-called gaming chairs because they are not comfortable to sit in long hours, is bad for posture and breathing, it's overall not naturally, they may look nice and fancy but after tested serval ones I stick to my Herman Miller chair all day long, its has been fantastic all those years (6 years) if I want to sit in a gaming chair type design I Just hope inside my ford mustang gt.

There are like 5 or 6 generic chair models being reupholstered and branded by various companies.

I have that exact same chair with different material.

Buy that and attach it to my current base and have the ultimate "gaming" chair

Hope it turns in to a real performance car?

Reading the review, this comes across as just another cheaply made "racing style" seat targeted at the gaming crowd.
Everything about it is fake and cheap, yet the price doesn't reflect that.
I'd also point out the seat back's width and height is shown as 90 - 180 degrees, when it should say seat angle of recline etc.
