Wow, outstanding review pzogel. :clap:

Just picked up two new mice last six months, but I really like what ROG is doing with the Chakram mouse - the price is a bit high though. :)

Love to compare the Chakram to the Logitech MX Master 3 for working a few hours, the shapes look very similar, although you can pick up the MX Master 3 for only $79.99 when Logitech sends a 20%off discount code to your inbox - then it's half the price of the Chakram.

Still, the Chakram looks pretty awesome - too bad we cannot buy every component we really like. :ohwell:

Don't believe I typed the name Chakram enough times - maybe we'll call our new kitten - The Magnificent Mr. Chakram. :laugh:

Too heavy, slower wireless then competitors. It's priced more than the Logitech G Pro at launch. Button travel distance is important but so is actuation force, something I wish reviewers would mention. The included cable isn't a paracord, just a regular braded cable. This mouse might have been great 7 years ago.

IMO if you are going to charge these kind of prices, you had better be the best in something. Very few people are going to drop this kind of coin on a mouse that isn't the best in anything. This review was far too easy on ASUS.

This is a problem. I'll be waiting for rocketjumpninja to do a review on this product. Something like this could make this mouse unusable for online games at any level of competitive play. That coupled with the reported polling inconsistency. It's entirely possible it doesn't manifest in actual gameplay and it's also possible that when tested by a highly skilled player, it's very bad.

omg that price is insane lol

I bought the Logitech G305 Lightspeed wireless mouse for $35 brand new. and i HIGHLY doubt this mouse is noticeably different in daily use or gaming. and i rather like the comfort of my logitech g305 so....

He's right you know.

At this ridiculous price, dropped samples and jitter are simply inexcusable. There are mice on the market at 1/3rd the cost of this with flawless sensors.

If this were a ~$100 mouse billed as 'feature rich with a decent sensor' it might not be open to so much criticism, but it's way more expensive than any other feature rich (yet sensor-flawed) mouse and doesn't have the sensor/firmware performance to satisfy the hardcore gamers, or justify the additional 60% price hike over its competition.

Ugh, the PAW3335 is not a good sensor. It's not on this list and the only reports of that exact model seem to be some cheap OEM mice from the middle of last year - Reddit and user reviews both complaining of jitter and interpolation. Also, pzogel reviewed another mouse with this sensor last month (Roccat-Kain 200 AIMO review) and that was heavily marked down because of the delay and CPI jitter.

This mouse is flawed. It does not satisfy minimum voltage requirement for the switches it uses.

I took these screenshots from Omron D2F (Japan) datasheet (https://omronfs.omron.com/en_US/ecb/products/pdf/en-d2f.pdf):

Omron switches require at least 5VDC. But I have just measured with my unit and it provides only 3.3VDC.

I'm experiencing double click issues already with both left and right side (happens when pressed at an extreme offset). This is probably a generic issue and not related to the specific one I have.

The China switch is said to be not micro-load model. So I believe it is even worse when Japan switch is not used.

This problem is explained in detail in this video: It probably has to do with the MCU used in the mouse that operates at 3.3V.


On the other hand, the software that comes with it is pure crap. It shows battery levels with 25% intervals. It takes forever to load and it installs services and consumes a lot of memory. It is just bloatware. I was using Logitech G Hub and I hated it but when I compare, G Hub is the best software ever written.

Therefore, I do not recommend buying to this mouse.

I think @pzogel should mention about this voltage issue on his review so no one buys this crappy designed mouse.
