The Montech Air X comes with two 200 mm intake fans in the front, up from the three 120 mm units in the Air 900 model. With its cool looks and clean window coupled with the solid frame, the Air X is surprisingly affordable to boot.

Some one forgot to measure the poorly cooled HDD temperature.
In the positive side of things, the PSU this is CWT (Taiwan) latest production.
Montech logo over the DC fan this does not translate to me as vote of confidence, that this is a quality part.

Montech it should hire a true product designer than copying everyone else ideas.

I'm not a fan of IOs positioned on the top, they are dust collectors, I'd rather they were on the front or side.

I don't care about the flaws this case has.

Fans and mesh are a winning formula; Anything that proves to people how stupid tempered glass in front of your fans is gets an upvote from me.

I am being cautious with the new wave of cases designed for 200mm fans, simply because availability of good quality 200mm fans is extremely poor at the moment. If you don't like the ones that come with your 200mm case, you're likely stuck with them for the time being. I'm sure that more 200mm options will appear on the market in time from fan specialists like Noctua and Scythe but for the moment it's a sea of rebranded RGBLED sleeve-bearing junk that nobody would buy if they actually listed the airflow/noise/bearings/warranty. RGBLED is an excuse to list that, instead of the important specs about how it works as a fan.

There's a mistake in the table on the front page. 1x USB 3.0 should be 2.0. I was hoping the mistake was that it should have been 3.1. :p

The amount of tape the power supply box had was awesome. It seems like a decent case, I like the power and reset buttons. Another thing....only came with 5 cable ties? What a joke, although I know most cases don't include many. It wouldn't cost them much to include a 100 pack of small zip ties, that would be great. Save me some trouble of looking for mine at least.

My doubts regarding the 200mm (general performance) they are at the same level with your thoughts.
But they are some happy thoughts in their favor, 200mm this is significant step-up from 140mm.
The rpm will be definable less, the airflow much higher, the noise much lower.
If they are up to quality standards of GELID (Hong Kong) then they might be a good choice.

May be our TPU reviewers they could source a few 200mm fan samples for a review ?

@Darksaber Can I put a 280mm AIO cooler at the top of this case? I have the white version

if yes, do i position the tubes to be located at the end where the 200mm fans are? is that the best way to position a top AIO?

Can I buy 2 more HDD cages for this somewhere?

and last question, what are the exact changes I need to make to fix the con in your review that states "
Position for the fan/ARGB PCB inefficient out of the box."

Yes, as long as your 280mm AIO doesn't have overly-large header tanks on each end of the radiator. You'll also need to slide the rear 120mm fan as far down in the slots as it will go, and the bigger issue will be motherboard VRM heatsink clearance as it's a narrow case and large heatsinks there could interfere with the fans on the radiator.

Quick and dirty mock-up says motherboard overhang will be a bigger problem. It looks like you'll probably be okay but it's probably going to be tight with no room for thick radiators, 30mm fans, or silly ram/VRM heatsinks that overhang in any way.

Yes and yes.
