The Cooler Master MM720 is a reimagination of the classic Xornet/Spawn shape. Small and almost wider than long, the MM720 is specifically suited for claw and fingertip grip. The package is completed by PixArt's PMW3389 sensor, LK optical switches and encoder, an ultra-flexible cable, and a 50 g lightweight design.

The shape kind of reminds me of the old raptor gaming mice.

(if my memory is correct, Raptor got bought out by Corsair)

MM720 is my new main over past faves: Skoll Mini Ace, Viper Ultimate, M4, MM710, Model O-, G305, S2 Divina, and more.

It's got a really great shape if you have a suitable grip for it. Everything else is good except for the 100cpi increments (vs 50) and MasterPlus+ system service (which you can disable).

Thanks for the in-depth review! Now I can do without taking it apart : )

You have quite a collection!
Monday I received the MM720 an I'm very happy with it!

I have to say that Cooler Master, unlike others, is praiseworthy for having listened to the community of enthusiasts. I hope they will benefit from it.

Finally a successor to the Spawn and Xornet! I have got large hands and use a fingertip grip while resting the heel of my hand on the pad. There is no other mouse design that works as well for me.

Props to the author - judging the mouse fairly even though it doesn't work for you. That's quite mature and thoughtful!

Been using it since a few days ago and I'm impressed.

Build quality on mine is great (no button wobbleing or scroll slipping). Click feel is very nice (I came from japanese omrons), cable is the best I've ever used (though i've never modded mices with paracord cables), scroll wheel is also really good (I prefer lighter wheels, lots of ppl. complaining about that).

Feets could be better (maybe i'll buy some aftermarket ones), not bad but there are better ones around. Middle click is a bit dull, I'd use an omron there, since the crisp sound of that would harmonize better with the main clicks.

Despite the small size, I think this mouse is not for small hands. IMO if you have narrow hands this mouse could not be for you.

I enjoyed using the Xornet. I don't need a new mouse at the moment, but I'm happy to see it back in some form.

Edit: Woah, the review is a few years old. Still, I'll probably pick one of these up if I can still find one the next time I need a mouse.
