After a long hiatus, Zowie updates their entire mouse line-up. The EC series makes the start, receiving not just a new, more flexible cable, improved 24-step scroll wheel, and reduced weight, but also a new form factor with the EC3, which is the smallest member of the EC series family thus far.

They're a bit simple but they really spent their budget on a few key areas I think, like basic quality. I switched from cheap and unreliable Logitech mice to a zowie EC2-A a couple years ago and I haven't looked back. No issues and no regrets. No dreaded double click issues and no broken switches.
