The first one was a cheap PoS that failed early on and they refused to stand by their warranty, judging by multiple negative comments on Kickstarter that weren't deleted. This second one was just a giant FU to the original backers that gives everything the backers wanted, but they refuse to give their backers a special privilege to buy it on a steep discount. Their new site also looks sketchy with the lack of merchandise.
