So these are heavily boosted in the treble range, from looking at that response graph. Any annoying peaks you found when listening?

PS. EPOS is a separate entity and used to use Sennheiser branding for marketing.

Bought the non-drop version of these like a decade ago. My wife is still using them and they work great. If the Drop is the same quality, they are well worth the price.

If they are anything like their predecessors then chances are they will last a lifetime or two.
I used to have a PC360 i bought mid 2011, which i later gave to my sister when she was in need of a headset and i bought a PC37X instead.
One of the few things I never felt the need or want to replace, just content with all that they are even after many years of use.

I am sure I just had awful luck, but I went through three separate versions of the "normal" Sennheiser version of this headset after one driver died following a fall from my desk onto a carpeted floor (a common occurrence with me and wired headphones because I always end up draping the cable over my lap.) I loved them until they died, but I couldn't justify spending the money to replace them multiple times a year. Oddly enough, it's the Razer Carcharias I replaced them with that ended up being the durable workhorse headphones that I still have and use today, despite Razer's lackluster reputation for durability.

Unless you only review headsets specifically. But the TYGRs are Beyerdynamics gaming cans that they intend for you to use with their Fox USB microphone.

None at all. The treble range sounds amazing - revealing, yet with no shrillness to speak of.

I have these for my computer at work and are powered by a Schiit Hel gen 1. My only niggle on the headphones is that the clamping force is a little high for my head, but loosening the band another couple of notches helps relieve the pressure. Performance is absolutely amazing from the PC38X.

You can try placing them on something that's slightly wider than your head (a bookshelf speaker usually works for me) and keeping them there over the weekend. That's how I permanently loosened the clamping force on the PC38X, as well as the Sennheiser HD 660 S Loosening the band by a notch or two also works, you're absolutely right.

I'll see what can be done

I just got the Team TYGR bundle today and its pretty awesome. Super satisfied. The headphones are basically lower ohm DT990s with a slightly tweaked sound profile specific to games. Mic seems really good too. $150 for a cardoid usb mic is pretty steep. Ill know more about its quality when i get a mic arm for it next week.
